Privacy Policy
Cocon collects nothing. Here is exactly what the app and this website do.
Last updated
In short. Cocon does not collect, store, share or transmit any personal data. It has no account, no analytics, no advertising and makes no network connection.
1. The app
Cocon is a macOS menu-bar app that draws a transparent overlay on your screens and plays ambient sounds. To keep the overlay from covering your windows, it reads the on-screen position and size of other windows. It does not read their titles, contents or the names of their apps, and it does not record, capture or store your screen.
Cocon does not ask for the Screen Recording, Accessibility, Microphone, Camera, Location, Contacts or any other system permission. It runs inside the macOS App Sandbox.
2. Data kept on your device
Cocon does not save any data. Your choices (ambiance, intensity, sound) apply to the current session only.
3. Data sent anywhere
None. The app does not connect to the internet and contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. The sounds are bundled with the app.
4. This website
This website is a static information page delivered through Cloudflare. Like most hosting providers, Cloudflare may process request data such as IP addresses, timestamps and browser information to deliver the site, prevent abuse and keep it reliable. The site has no account form, no newsletter, no advertising and no analytics cookies.
5. Mac App Store
If you download Cocon from the Mac App Store, Apple processes your download under its own privacy policy. We do not receive your personal information from Apple.
6. Children
Cocon collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
7. Your rights
Because Cocon holds no personal data, there is nothing to access, correct or delete. If you have a question about this policy, you can reach us at contact@stanleon.cc. You may also contact your local data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).
8. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page will show the latest revision.
