How do I open Cocon?
Cocon lives in the menu bar, with no Dock icon. Click its icon, choose an ambiance and move the intensity slider. Choose “None” to turn the overlay off.
The overlay is not on all my screens
Each screen gets its own overlay. If you plug in a screen while Cocon is running, quit and reopen Cocon from the menu bar.
Does the overlay block my clicks?
No. The overlay is click-through, and it is never drawn in front of your windows.
I hear no sound
- Check that “Sound” is on in the Cocon panel and the volume slider is up.
- Check your Mac’s output device and system volume.
- If you changed headphones or speakers while Cocon was playing, switch the ambiance off and on again.
How do I quit?
Open the Cocon menu-bar panel and choose “Quit Cocon”.
Does Cocon collect data or need permissions?
No. See the Privacy Policy.
What should I include in a bug report?
- your Mac model and macOS version;
- the Cocon version;
- the ambiance and intensity you were using;
- the steps that led to the problem, and a screenshot or screen recording when it helps.
